WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that Israel has agreed to the conditions of a proposed 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, marking a significant development in ongoing efforts to de-escalate the conflict.

The announcement comes ahead of Trump’s scheduled meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday.

President Trump emphasized the involvement of Qatar and Egypt, which are delivering the proposal to Hamas. He warned that failure to secure Hamas’ agreement could lead to further deterioration of the situation.

Arab mediators remain actively engaged, with discussions expected to resume in Cairo between Israeli and Hamas representatives. Officials said the talks aim to finalize terms acceptable to all parties involved.

President Trump stated that the United States remains committed to supporting diplomatic solutions and facilitating dialogue between the conflicting sides.

The agreement from Israel comes amid rising international concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. While the proposal could offer short-term relief, long-standing issues continue to pose challenges to a lasting resolution.

The White House confirmed that the upcoming Trump-Netanyahu meeting will focus on the ceasefire, regional stability, and ongoing U.S. support for diplomatic initiatives.
