The Supreme Court (SC) is proud to host the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Inspirational Gallery, now open at the SC Lobby from June 25 to July 9, 2025. The exhibit showcases key milestones and achievements of the OGP – an international alliance of governments and civil society organizations working to promote transparency, public participation, inclusivity, and accountability in governance.
Founded in 2011 by eight countries – including the Philippines, United States, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Norway, South Africa, and the United Kingdom – OGP has grown to include over 70 member nations committed to advancing open government principles.
As a founding member, the Philippines plays a leading role in this global initiative. Under the 6th PH-OGP National Action Plan (NAP), the SC leads justice sector reforms aimed at improving access to justice, enhancing transparency in the Judiciary, and building public trust. The SC also serves on the PH-OGP Steering Committee (2023-2027), alongside other key government agencies, to help guide national commitments.

These efforts align with the Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations (SPJI) 2022-2027, which promotes broader and more equitable access to justice. The SC’s commitments include expanding Justice Zones – local platforms for inter-agency collaboration – and improving public access to free or affordable legal services.
The OGP supports a wide range of reforms that strengthen democratic institutions and inclusive policymaking. These include gender inclusion, climate action, digital governance, anti-corruption efforts, and civic engagement.
The exhibit features panels on: the PH-OGP’s journey since 2011; the PH-OGP Steering Committee; OGP member countries in the Asia Pacific region; the 6th PH-OGP NAP; OGP’s global history; governance reforms in the Philippines; leadership of PH-OGP Chairperson Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman and Co-Chairperson Malayang Lapian ng mga Kababaihan (MALAYA KA, Inc.) Executive Director Aurora Reyes Chavez; and a commitment wall where visitors can sign in support for OGP’s advocacies.
Multimedia presentations and videos also highlight OGP initiatives, civil society perspectives, project stories, and key events such as the 2023 and 2024 OGP Week celebrations.
