Investigators are examining a burglary that occurred at the Los Feliz home of actor Brad Pitt on Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported the incident without naming Pitt, stating that officers responded at approximately 10:30 p.m. to a burglary on the 2300 block of North Edgemont Street.
Police mentioned the suspects gained entry by breaking a front window and subsequently ransacked the property before leaving with unspecified items.
Multiple media sources reported that the residence belongs to Brad Pitt, who was not present during the incident.
The 61-year-old actor was traveling for promotional events related to his latest film, “F1,” which premiered in the United States on Friday.
Recently, Pitt attended the “F1” premiere in London.
The film features Brad Pitt as a race-car driver making a return to Formula One after three decades to assist his former teammate’s team.
Lewis Hamilton, a real-life Formula One driver, co-produced the film, which includes appearances by other professional drivers.
“F1” premiered on June 16 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and released in U.S. theaters on June 27, receiving favorable reviews from critics.
Authorities continue to investigate the burglary at Pitt’s property.
