North Texas native Liam McNeeley is set to begin his NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets following a first-round draft selection and trade from the Phoenix Suns.
Drafted 29th overall in the recent NBA Draft, McNeeley was initially selected by the Suns before being traded to the Hornets as part of a multi-player and draft pick deal.
The Richardson, Texas, product rose to prominence through strong high school and college basketball careers that marked him as a standout prospect.
McNeeley began his high school journey at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson ISD before transferring to John Paul II High School in Plano, where he drew attention from scouts and recruiters.
