Texas students’ STAAR scores now available online

HOUSTON, Texas–The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released the 2025 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) results for students in grades 3 through 8.

The results show measurable improvements in reading, language arts, mathematics, and science compared to previous assessments.

According to the TEA, performance in reading and language arts has improved, indicating gains in literacy based on the latest testing cycle.

Mathematics scores also showed an upward trend. The TEA noted that the data may reflect ongoing efforts to strengthen instruction in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

Science scores demonstrated a similar positive trajectory. The TEA reported that students performed better on questions requiring the application of scientific knowledge and reasoning.

The TEA stated it remains focused on supporting students and educators by analyzing assessment data to help guide future instructional efforts across the state.
