U.S. immigration authorities detained Khaby Lame, the world’s most-followed TikToker, on June 6, at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, for allegedly overstaying his visa.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials stated that Lame, a 25-year-old Italian citizen, entered the United States on April 30, 2023.

Authorities claimed that Lame exceeded the visa terms, leading to his detention on a Friday.

He was released the same day with instructions for a “voluntary departure.”
