MANILA, Philippines– What started as a rejected film script has blossomed into an engaging digital series now streaming on YouTube. Si Sol at si Luna, directed by Dolly Dulu, stars Jane Oineza and Zaijian Jaranilla in a story about a May-September romance.

Jaranilla plays Sol, a young film student searching for inspiration, while Oineza portrays Luna, an older woman healing from heartbreak. This marks Jaranilla’s first mature role, showcasing his growth as an actor.

The project began as a script submitted to the CinePanalo Film Festival, where it ranked among the top 16 entries. Director Dulu reimagined it as a romantic adventure and coming-of-age tale, tailoring it for digital audiences.

Si Sol at si Luna not only highlights age-gap relationships but also speaks to personal growth and creative discovery. The series exemplifies how independent filmmakers are embracing digital platforms to bring fresh stories to life.
