Luis Jalandoni, ex-NDFP chair, dies at 90

MANILA, Philippines– Luis Jalandoni, the former chair of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP), passed away at the age of 90.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) announced his death on Saturday. Jalandoni died surrounded by comrades in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on Saturday at 9:05 a.m. (3:05 p.m. Philippine time).

The CPP described him as a beloved figure among the masses and a revolutionary leader.

Jalandoni served as a chief negotiator for the NDFP in peace talks with the Philippine government.

He became prominent for his role in advocating for the rights and welfare of the Filipino people.

He was an influential internationalist and figure in the Philippine revolutionary movement.

The NDFP expressed gratitude for his leadership and contribution to their cause. Jalandoni’s legacy remains significant in the history of the Philippine revolutionary movement.
