Marcos, First Lady light up Jones Bridge for 50th PH-China relations

MANILA, Philippines– President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led a lighting ceremony at Jones Bridge Saturday night to mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China.

Held at the Pasig River Esplanade in Manila, the event was attended by Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian, Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce President Victor Lim, and outgoing Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna.

President Marcos emphasized the significance of the occasion, calling it a symbol of enduring friendship and collaboration between the two nations.

The ceremony highlighted shared history and the importance of continued diplomatic engagement.
