Austin Wildlife Rescue is urgently appealing to the community for food donations to support nearly 2,000 rescued animals taken in during May.

The organization is facing significant challenges in providing enough nourishment for a large influx of birds, mammals, and reptiles currently under its care.

Located at 5401 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, the rescue center depends heavily on local support and volunteers to meet the growing demand for food and resources.

Donations of species-appropriate food, as well as monetary contributions, are vital to sustaining their rehabilitation efforts.

Spring and summer bring higher intake rates, making the need for community assistance especially critical. Detailed lists of needed items and donation drop-off points are available on the Austin Wildlife Rescue website.

To help or learn more, residents can contact the rescue center directly or visit their official site. Every contribution plays a crucial role in ensuring these animals receive proper care and can eventually be released back into the wild.
