Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson has been appointed as the overall artistic director of Dior, overseeing both the women’s and men’s collections, according to an announcement from LVMH, the French fashion house’s parent company.
LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault confirmed the appointment during a shareholders meeting. Anderson will assume creative leadership of the women’s line following the departure of Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Anderson, a Northern Irish designer, previously served as the artistic director of Dior’s men’s collection. He also played a major role at Loewe, where his work significantly influenced the brand’s creative direction.
With this appointment, Anderson becomes responsible for the full artistic vision of Dior’s fashion lines, marking a new chapter for the historic luxury house.
