FILCON announces Philippine Independence Day event in Grand Prairie

DALLAS, Texas– The Filipino Leaders Coalition of North Texas (FILCON) will mark the Philippine Independence Day with a grand celebration at Asia Times Square in Grand Prairie on Saturday, June 1.

The day-long event aims to bring together the Filipino-American community and the general public in a festive display of culture, music, food, and heritage. Highlights of the celebration include traditional Filipino dance performances, art showcases, and a variety of family-friendly activities.

A special segment of the event will honor war veterans, recognizing their service and sacrifices.

Adding to the excitement, renowned Filipino-American R&B artist Jay-R will make a special guest appearance and deliver a live performance during the festivities.

Beyond the celebration, the event will also support charitable efforts. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Bantay Bata 163, a child welfare program in the Philippines, as well as FILCON’s ongoing humanitarian projects.

Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring their families and friends to participate in a celebration that honors both the Philippines’ independence and the strength of the Filipino-American community.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance.
