MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Youth extended its undefeated run in the FIBA Asia U16 Cup SEABA Qualifiers with a dominant 101-37 victory over Singapore on Wednesday night at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.
The win marks the third straight for the Philippines, following earlier blowout victories against Thailand (87-42) and Vietnam (113-62). Gilas Youth now holds a 3-0 record, placing them at the top of the standings.
Six Filipino players scored in double figures, with Everaigne Cruz leading the way with 14 points, four steals, and three rebounds. Jhustin Hallare added 13 points and six assists in a strong all-around performance.
The Philippines displayed consistent dominance throughout the match, continuing to assert its strength in Southeast Asian youth basketball.
