MANILA — The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and Filipino-American rapper Allan Pineda, known as Apl.de.ap, have initiated a new project aimed at increasing income opportunities for coconut farmers in the Philippines.

Apl.de.ap recently returned to the Philippines to sign an agreement with PCA, formalizing the partnership through his foundation. The collaboration seeks to provide coconut farmers with additional resources and support to improve their livelihoods.

This initiative builds on prior work between PCA and Apl.de.ap’s foundation, focusing on sustainable farming practices and economic development in the agricultural sector.

The project plans to explore innovative methods to boost the productivity and profitability of coconut farming. It will involve local farmers, agricultural experts, and other stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the program.

Officials emphasized the importance of such partnerships in promoting agricultural sustainability and advancing the economic well-being of farming communities in the Philippines.
