TAGUIG CITY, Philippines — Two motorcycle-riding suspects robbed luxury bags worth PHP 200,000 from two Korean nationals in Bonifacio Global City, officials confirmed Saturday.
The incident occurred late Sunday evening near the intersection of 9th Avenue and 11th Drive in Barangay Fort Bonifacio. The two men on a motorcycle intercepted the victims and seized their crossbody bags, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Using closed-circuit television footage, authorities identified the suspects the following day. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend those responsible and recover the stolen items.
The NCRPO has increased patrols and security measures in the area, urging the public—especially foreigners—to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity. Local authorities have also provided assistance to the victims.
Police continue to pursue leads and encourage witnesses to come forward to aid the investigation.
