SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels will offer free admission to military personnel during Memorial Day weekend.
The promotion runs from May 23 to May 26 and applies to active duty service members, retirees, veterans, reserves, and National Guard members. Eligible visitors must present a valid U.S. Military ID at the entrance to receive complimentary access.
The parks announced the initiative as part of ongoing efforts to recognize and honor military service during the holiday. Six Flags Fiesta Texas will welcome guests to its wide range of thrill rides, shows, and themed attractions.
Schlitterbahn Waterpark, a popular destination for summer recreation, features water slides, pools, and family-friendly activities.
Discounted tickets are available through the parks’ official websites, with up to 67% off at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and up to 56% off at Schlitterbahn.
The San Antonio area will host several other events during Memorial Day weekend. Attractions such as the Historic Market Square and the San Antonio River Walk will feature cultural festivities, live music, and food vendors.
The River Walk will also host the Memorial Day Artisan Show, where local artists will display handmade crafts and artworks.
Music fans can attend the Memorial Day Metalfest, a three-day event featuring performances from over 70 bands. Runners and outdoor enthusiasts can participate in the Memorial Day Freedom Run, with 5K, 10K, and 13.1K race options.
The weekend will also include remembrance events. The Flags for Fallen Vets ceremony at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will pay tribute to those who died in service to the country.
