Authorities in the United Kingdom have charged Texas rapper Omololu Akinlolu, known professionally as HoodyBaby, and American singer Chris Brown in connection with an alleged assault at a London nightclub in 2023.

Police charged Akinlolu, 38, with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

A Dallas native, Akinlolu is known for his work in the hip-hop industry and has collaborated with artists including Brown and Lil Wayne. He also performs under the stage names “Fat Leopard” and “Super Hood.”

A court date for Akinlolu has not been announced, and authorities have not released further details regarding his alleged actions during the incident.

Brown, who was on tour in London at the time of the alleged assault, faces similar charges. Investigators allege that Brown attacked producer Abe Diaw with a bottle before continuing the assault physically.

Brown remains in custody in the United Kingdom without bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 13.

Law enforcement officials reported that the incident occurred at a nightclub and involved what they described as an unprovoked attack.

Diaw reportedly sustained multiple injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the assault.
