Actor Kevin Spacey will receive a lifetime achievement award at a charity gala hosted by the Better World Fund on the fringes of the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday.

The Better World Fund announced that Spacey will be recognized for his “decades of artistic brilliance” during the event in Cannes, France.

Spacey was acquitted of nine charges of alleged sex offenses in the United Kingdom in 2022. In the United States, a civil lawsuit accusing Spacey of sexual misconduct was dismissed in 2022 by a New York court.

The actor is known for his roles in popular films such as “The Usual Suspects.”

Spacey’s award presentation aligns with the Better World Fund’s ongoing efforts to celebrate artistic achievements.

The Cannes Film Festival, a prominent annual event, hosts industry professionals and film enthusiasts from around the world.
