CEDAR PARK, Texas — A small business owner in Cedar Park reported a theft on Mother’s Day that resulted in the loss of approximately $17,000 worth of equipment critical to her operations.
Nathalie Sterling, owner of La Di Da Glow Studios and Jewelry Lounge, discovered the theft at her home garage, where she stored tools for her mobile spray tan business and jewelry-making operations.
Among the stolen items were all of Sterling’s jewelry-making tools and her mobile spray tanning booth.
Sterling, whose business recently expanded to include a permanent location in Round Rock, expressed feelings of violation and being overwhelmed following the break-in.
“It’s just a huge setback,” she said, describing the incident’s impact on her ability to continue serving clients.
The Cedar Park Police Department has launched an investigation and is asking anyone with information to come forward. Authorities have not yet identified a suspect.
A GoFundMe campaign has raised $5,000 to help replace stolen equipment and keep her business running. Sterling expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, saying it has helped her stay optimistic during a difficult time.
Police continue to gather evidence and follow leads, and the investigation remains ongoing. Officials encourage any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to contact the Cedar Park Police Department.
