HOUSTON, Texas– Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced a $30,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Trevor McEuen, who is wanted in connection with the 2023 murder of Aaron Martinez in Kaufman County.

McEuen, who faces charges of capital murder and four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, was last seen in Van Zandt County, East Texas.

Authorities say he removed his ankle monitor and fled before a scheduled court appearance.

Martinez, 35, was found shot to death in his pickup truck in 2023. The case prompted a multi-agency manhunt after McEuen failed to appear in court.

He has since been added to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Law enforcement officials are urging the public to report any information about McEuen’s whereabouts. They warn that he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Governor Abbott encouraged residents to remain alert and report tips anonymously.
