ALTO, Texas — A freshman at Alto High School has completed 11 consecutive years of perfect school attendance, according to a public announcement made by school officials on social media this week.

Jabari, whose last name was not disclosed, began his perfect attendance record in pre-kindergarten and has not missed a single day of school since. He currently attends Alto High School, part of the Alto Independent School District in East Texas.

The school district shared a post on Facebook commending Jabari for his commitment and consistency, noting the achievement as a rare milestone in public education. The post did not specify the exact date of the recognition.

Jabari’s parents supported his attendance throughout the years, ensuring he reported to school every day without exception. School officials said their involvement played a key role in maintaining his attendance streak.

Alto ISD has not released further details about any formal recognition or awards, but the school community has acknowledged the milestone online.

Perfect attendance is uncommon over such a long span due to illness, emergencies, and other circumstances. School officials said Jabari’s case serves as an example of long-term student commitment.

School administrators have not confirmed whether the student will be formally honored in an upcoming school event.
