Michael Jordan will join NBC Sports as a special contributor to its NBA coverage starting in the 2025-26 season.

NBC announced this development on Monday during its upfront presentation at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

This announcement coincides with the preview of the network’s offerings for the upcoming television season.

Jordan, a six-time NBA champion, expressed his excitement about the NBA returning to NBC and his role as a special contributor in a video message.

NBC’s decision comes as part of its renewed commitment to expand its sports programming.

The network recently signed an 11-year media rights deal with the NBA, along with Disney and Amazon.

NBC, through this engagement with Jordan, aims to enhance its NBA broadcasts with insights from one of the game’s greatest players.
