TAIPEI — A new Taiwanese television series titled “Zero Day” depicts the chaos and panic resulting from a Chinese military blockade of Taiwan, highlighting the threat of a potential invasion.

The series, featuring 10 standalone episodes, aims to raise awareness about China’s longstanding vow to annex Taiwan, potentially by force.

It illustrates scenes of banks closing, families fleeing, and the spread of fake news as Taiwanese troops prepare for a possible attack.

The creators of “Zero Day” hope to awaken the public to the real-life threat of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan. The show has garnered international interest for distribution and is expected to premiere this year.

The creators consulted military and political experts to ensure the realism of the series, which calls for unity among the Taiwanese populace in the face of potential conflict.
