CHANGWON, South Korea — Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers are one win away from capturing the Korean Basketball League (KBL) championship.

Tamayo played a crucial role in Changwon’s 80-63 victory over the Seoul SK Knights on Friday at the Changwon Gymnasium.

In Game 3 of the best-of-seven series, the 24-year-old Filipino player scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded a steal.

His efforts helped propel Changwon to the brink of a finals sweep and the 2024-25 KBL title.

Changwon’s dominant performance against Seoul has put them in a favorable position for the championship.

The team needs one more victory to secure the league title.
