The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will reduce eastbound lanes on Interstate 30 in Arlington to one lane starting early Saturday morning through Monday morning to accommodate scheduled construction work.

The lane closure, subject to weather conditions, is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the area. TxDOT aims to manage construction efficiently while minimizing impact on traffic flow.

Drivers traveling eastbound on I-30 should expect delays and are advised to plan alternate routes or allow additional travel time. The department also urges motorists to follow posted signage and exercise caution through the work zone.

The I-30 lane reduction is part of broader transportation enhancement efforts across the region. In separate incidents, all southbound lanes on Interstate 35E in Lewisville were recently closed due to a crash, and an overturned 18-wheeler on LBJ Freeway required hazardous materials cleanup.

TxDOT continues to coordinate construction and emergency responses to maintain safety and minimize disruptions.

The department encourages the public to stay informed through its official website and local news updates for real-time traffic and construction information.
