MANILA, Philippines– Vice President Sara Duterte on Friday appeared before Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors in Manila, Philippines.
Duterte submitted her response to a case filed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
The case involves a threat to the lives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Duterte faces a complaint for inciting to sedition and grave threats.
The allegations stem from a live stream press conference.
During the conference, Duterte mentioned having hired someone to kill the aforementioned officials in case she would be killed.
The NBI previously filed a criminal case against Duterte concerning these statements.
