MANILA, Philippines– The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) announced the nominees for the inaugural FAMAS Short Film Festival awards ceremony scheduled for May 10 at the Music Museum.
The FAMAS Short Film Festival, initiated by FAMAS in collaboration with REMS Entertainment, aims to highlight culture-based storytelling and promote the arts through short films.
Festival Director Gabby Ramos stated that the first edition of this hybrid festival will not adhere to a specific theme, but will emphasize “credibility” in its selections.
The nominees for the inaugural festival include various short films that showcase diverse narratives and creative storytelling.
The awards ceremony will recognize excellence in short filmmaking, with categories covering different aspects of film production.
FAMAS, known for celebrating Filipino films, expands its reach through this new festival focused on short films.
