A 56-year-old fugitive, who had been on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted list since December 2024, was captured in Converse, Texas, on Wednesday.
Authorities arrested David Earl Rogers, who had been wanted on charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a history of violent criminal activity.
Rogers, originally from Bexar County, was located through a coordinated effort by local and state law enforcement agencies.
The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed Rogers’ capture, calling it a significant achievement in their ongoing initiative to apprehend fugitives.
Rogers was arrested without incident and has since been transported to a local facility for processing.
Law enforcement agencies involved in the operation praised the collaboration between local and state authorities, noting that such joint efforts are crucial in addressing public safety concerns.
Rogers’ criminal history spanned several years, and his inclusion on the Most Wanted list underscored the dangerous nature of his offenses.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and to report any information that could assist in capturing other individuals still at large.
