GLENN HEIGHTS, Texas — The City of Glenn Heights has named Dr. Glyn Horn as its new Chief of Police, officially appointing him to lead the police department and oversee law enforcement operations for the city.

Dr. Horn previously served as Deputy Chief of Patrol for Denver’s Regional Transportation District, where he developed a reputation for fostering trust within the law enforcement community and advancing community-oriented policing practices.

In his first address as Chief, Horn emphasized transparency, accountability, and direct community engagement as top priorities.

He introduced his vision for “One-by-One Policing,” an initiative designed to address individual community members’ needs and improve communication between residents and officers.

Horn stated that his goal is to be both a “cop’s cop” and a trusted leader within the community.

He outlined plans to enhance department training, increase public outreach, and implement strategies to improve relationships between police officers and residents.

City officials described the appointment as a step toward strengthening the Glenn Heights Police Department and improving public safety services.
