The Detroit Pistons have successfully completed a major turnaround this NBA season, finishing with a 44-38 record.

The Pistons faced the embarrassment of experiencing the longest single-season losing streak in NBA history and held the worst record for two consecutive years.

In response, team owner Tom Gores made a series of strategic moves less than a year ago to reverse the team’s fortunes.

Among these changes was the decision to release coach Monty Williams, a move that cost Gores $65 million.

Cade Cunningham led the Pistons throughout the season, significantly contributing to their improved performance.

This season’s record marks a notable improvement from the previous year, where the Pistons won only 14 games.

The Pistons’ transformation has surprised many in the league, showcasing a remarkable recovery from their recent struggles.
