Ex-UT Austin student allegedly targets people on the Drag

AUSTIN, Texas – A former University of Texas at Austin student was arrested for allegedly threatening to blow up a boutique on The Drag, a popular area near the university campus, authorities confirmed.

Aymen Labidi, the accused, is facing multiple criminal charges and is currently detained in the Travis County Jail with a bond set at $30,000 for three misdemeanor charges.

The boutique’s owner, known as c.jane, has decided to close the store due to safety concerns following the incident.

Labidi has a history of criminal activity in the area, including assault and making threats, according to local reports.

Local law enforcement, in collaboration with the Travis County Attorney’s Office, is managing the legal proceedings in this case.

The University of Texas at Austin reiterated its commitment to student safety amid these developments.
