MANILA, Philippines– President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains in good health, according to the Presidential Communications Office, amid baseless rumors on social media suggesting he is unwell due to allegedly bleeding gums seen at a military event on Wednesday.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Malacañang press officer, Claire Castro, did not confirm the incident of bleeding gums but dismissed any attempt to link it with the President’s overall health condition.
She emphasized the President’s active public presence, noting his participation in daily activities and Alyansa campaign rallies.
Castro reiterated that Marcos Jr. consistently attends regular meetings, countering speculation about his health.
The press officer criticized the dissemination of misinformation concerning the President’s health based on unverified social media claims.
She affirmed that the President’s schedule includes various official engagements, demonstrating his capability and well-being.
The unfounded social media speculation arose following a video circulating online, where observers alleged that the President displayed signs of bleeding gums.
Claire Castro, however, assured the public of Marcos Jr.’s vigorous state, characterizing the President as consistently active and engaged in his presidential duties.
