MANILA, Philippines– Marjorie Barretto addressed comments made by her ex-husband Dennis Padilla regarding their daughter Claudia Barretto’s wedding to Basti Lorenzo.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz on April 11, Marjorie revealed that Claudia and Dennis had agreed that Claudia would walk down the aisle alone.

Dennis had publicly expressed feeling like a “visitor” at the event.

Marjorie mentioned that Claudia initially did not want to invite her father due to their strained relationship.

Marjorie stated that she encouraged Claudia to invite Dennis to the wedding, asserting it was the right thing to do.

The wedding took place amidst public and media interest due to the family’s high-profile status.

Marjorie explained in the interview that her focus was on ensuring Claudia’s happiness on her special day.

She defended Claudia’s decision to walk alone by stating it was made in mutual agreement with Dennis.

Ogie Diaz’s platform provided Marjorie the opportunity to share her side of the story.

Dennis, meanwhile, received both support and criticism from the public for his remarks.

A spokesperson for the family declined to comment further on the matter when contacted.
