Three grassroots sports advocates will receive the ORLACSAN Award at the 39th Sportswriters Association of Cebu-San Miguel Beer (SAC-SMB) Cebu Sports Awards on April 26, 2023, in Cebu City, Philippines.
The event will take place at the Cube Wing of SM City Seaside.
The ORLACSAN Award, first introduced in 1996, is named in honor of the legendary Cebuano sportswriter Orlando C. Sanchez.
The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate selfless dedication to grassroots sports development and positively impact their communities.
Boxing coach Edito “ALA” Villamor is one of the awardees.
A basketball patron and a benefactor in the field of table tennis will also be honored with the ORLACSAN Award.
