SAN ANTONIO, Texas– The San Antonio Zoo is preparing to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Kiddie Park, one of the oldest children’s amusement parks in the U.S., on Thursday, April 10.

Located in Brackenridge Park, Kiddie Park opened in 1925 and retains much of its early charm with vintage rides like a Ferris wheel and hand-carved carousel.

The centennial event will begin at 10:00 a.m. and include music, games, food stalls, and a chance for visitors to share their memories of the park.

The zoo has invited the public to submit personal anecdotes and photos, which will be featured during the celebration.

Over the years, Kiddie Park has undergone ownership changes and renovations, but it has maintained its historic feel.
