AUSTIN, Texas– Nineteen dogs rescued from a Bastrop County breeding operation are currently under the care of the Austin Humane Society as part of a larger rescue involving over 30 dogs.
The rescue occurred in Bastrop County, Texas, where officials found a breeding operation focused on “doodle” type dogs. The Austin Humane Society is now providing shelter and medical care for these animals.
The remaining dogs are receiving assistance from other animal welfare organizations. The authorities have not yet disclosed the names of those involved in the breeding operation.
The rescued dogs are expected to be put up for adoption once they undergo necessary health evaluations and treatments.
