Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton have announced investigations into the EPIC City project. The project is a master-planned community on a 402-acre site near Josephine, Texas.

The EPIC City project is positioned close to the East Plano Islamic Center. Authorities have not yet released specific details about what prompted the investigations into the development.

Governor Abbott and Attorney General Paxton announced the inquiries during a press conference held in Dallas. The announcement has drawn attention to the large-scale development and its possible implications.

EPIC City is planned as a community with residential, commercial, and public spaces. It aims to provide a diverse living environment for its future residents. Developers project significant growth in the area due to this new community.

The investigations will examine various aspects of the project.

This includes land acquisition, zoning approvals, and compliance with state regulations.

The goal of the inquiries is to ensure that all legal protocols have been observed in the planning and approval stages.
