North Texas Iwo Jima hero, 100, honored with tribute in Midlothian

DALLAS, Texas– A 100-year-old veteran from North Texas, John Boswell, received an honor in Midlothian on Wednesday.

Boswell, a survivor of the historic battle of Iwo Jima, was inducted into the Texas Veterans Hall of Fame.

The ceremony took place with notable attendees and fellow veterans present to celebrate his dedication and service.

The Texas Veterans Hall of Fame aims to commemorate the contributions and sacrifices of veterans from the state. 

Boswell’s experience during the battle of Iwo Jima remains a poignant reminder of the courage displayed by service members during World War II.
