MANILA, Philippines– Public figure Neri Naig recently broke her silence regarding her legal battle after being detained and accused of involvement in an investment scam, which led to her being listed as one of the most wanted individuals in the country.

Naig, who has now been cleared of all charges, called the experience a “nightmare,” marking her first public statement on the issue since the legal proceedings began.

In November 2024, Naig was arrested on charges that included 14 counts of violating the Securities Regulation Code and a non-bailable syndicated estafa charge.

The charges stemmed from her endorsement of Dermacare-Beyond Skin Care Ventures, a company accused of operating a fraudulent investment scheme.

The company allegedly promised investors a 12.6% quarterly return over five years through a franchise partnership program.

Naig’s bail was set at PHP 126,000 per count of the securities violation.

On March 4, 2025, the Pasay City court cleared Naig of all charges.
