WASHINGTON, United States— President Donald Trump on Friday dismissed concerns that billionaire Elon Musk has access to top-secret U.S. military plans related to China.

Trump’s statement came amid speculation over Musk’s expanding business ties in China and potential conflicts of interest.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has strengthened his business presence in China, where Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory serves as a major production hub.

Addressing these concerns, Trump assured that Musk would not have access to classified military strategies, seeking to alleviate fears of potential risks to U.S. security.

National security experts had previously raised concerns about Musk’s dual roles in government-affiliated ventures and global business, particularly in China’s strategically significant technology and manufacturing sectors.

Tesla’s success in China has made the country a key player in the company’s global expansion, while SpaceX maintains government contracts for space exploration and military projects.
