Trill Burgers, the popular smashburger chain co-founded by rapper Bun B, is set to expand with a fourth location in Houston, strategically positioned near the bustling intersection of Westheimer and Voss. Scheduled to open in summer 2025, the new restaurant will inhabit a former Boston Market space, bringing a fresh layout and state-of-the-art kitchen equipment. Designer firm Dezynd, based in Missouri City, will spearhead the remodeling efforts.
Bun B expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, highlighting Westheimer’s connection to Houston’s vibrant culture. He acknowledged the community’s unwavering support, emphasizing the chain’s commitment to further establishing its roots in the city. Trill Burgers, renowned for its signature offerings, includes two smashed beef patties, American cheese, caramelized onions, house-made pickles, and a special sauce on a potato roll. This distinctive recipe has earned accolades, including a win on Good Morning America’s best burger competition in 2022 and a Gold Buckle Foodie award at the 2023 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
In addition to the upcoming Westheimer location, Trill Burgers is expanding into Spring and Missouri City, with locations slated to open soon. The flagship Montrose location, which opened in June 2023, continues to witness long lines of eager customers, underscoring the brand’s growing popularity.
In tandem with business expansion, Bun B will be performing at the Houston Rodeo on Black Heritage Day, celebrating his birthday with a stellar lineup of guest artists, including Ludacris, Don Toliver, Yolanda Adams, Jagged Edge, and Keith Sweat. As Trill Burgers continues its growth trajectory, it remains a beloved culinary staple in Houston, promising more exciting developments in the future.
