Baylor legend, ex-Arlington Lamar QB J.J. Joe dies at 54

Joe, originally from Arlington, Texas, made significant contributions to Texas football both as a player and commentator.

Joe attended Arlington Lamar High School, where he excelled as a quarterback, catching the attention of college scouts.

He went on to play for Baylor University, where his performance as a quarterback set numerous records and earned him a place in the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame.

His achievements at Baylor cemented his legacy as one of the university’s most distinguished athletes.

Following his playing career, Joe transitioned to a role as a radio analyst for the Baylor Bears, providing expert commentary on games.
