The NBA overturned Chet Holmgren’s technical foul from the Oklahoma City Thunder’s game against the Toronto Raptors on February 7.

The league announced the decision on Monday, confirming the removal of the penalty issued in the fourth quarter. The NBA did not provide specific reasoning for the reversal.

The technical foul occurred with 7:34 left in the game, which ended with the Raptors securing a narrow victory.

The reversal is significant for Holmgren, as it clears the penalty from his record. This decision prevents potential consequences such as suspensions or fines. With the foul rescinded, Holmgren can focus on his performance without these setbacks.

Neither Holmgren nor the Oklahoma City Thunder have commented on the reversal.
