In the Women’s Youth 1 and 2 categories, Allaeza Mae Gulmatico and Maria Louisse Crisselle Alejado made notable contributions. Their victories provided Iloilo with an early advantage in the championships. These wins highlight the promising talent emerging from the region, showcasing the potential of young female cyclists in national competitions. The riders’ dedication and skill were evident as they navigated the course, earning them top honors in their respective divisions.

The PhilCycling National Championships for Road serve as a platform for young athletes to display their cycling prowess and foster a competitive spirit among participants. It also acts as a scouting ground for talent that could represent the country in international events. The performances of Gulmatico and Alejado are indicative of a stronger future for Philippine cycling, particularly in nurturing young athletes.

The championship spans several days and includes various categories that test the abilities of cyclists across different age groups. As the opening day concluded, it became evident that the young cyclists from Iloilo are setting a high standard for their peers. Their achievements on the first day bring attention to the importance of youth development in sports and the need for continued support for grassroots programs.

In Narvacan, another emerging talent contributed to the day’s achievements. Young cyclists from the region showed remarkable potential, competing fiercely against their opponents. The local support and training infrastructure have played a significant role in refining their skills, demonstrating the importance of community involvement in sports development.

Pangasinan also made its mark at the championships, with its athletes showcasing determination and competitive spirit. The region’s participation highlights the diverse talent pool present in the Philippines, emphasizing the need for national events to harness and develop these young cyclists.

The PhilCycling National Championships for Road continue to be a significant event on the national sporting calendar.
