MANILA, Philippines– Gio Santos, the handler of Sofronio Vasquez, the winner of The Voice USA Season 26, has publicly addressed and denied rumors of a romantic relationship between him and the singer.
On Friday, February 14, Santos took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the situation and shut down the rumors.
He responded to an online website’s claims about a romantic connection, writing, “Handler ako ni Sofronio, and nothing more,” which translates to “I am Sofronio’s handler, and nothing more.”
Santos, who has worked closely with Vasquez throughout his The Voice USA journey, emphasized that their relationship is strictly professional.
His role, he explained, revolves around managing and supporting Vasquez’s music career. He also stressed the importance of maintaining professional boundaries and focusing on their work.
Vasquez, for his part, has remained silent on the matter, choosing not to publicly comment on the rumors.
Instead, he has focused on his music career and upcoming projects, including new music and a series of performances scheduled for later this year.
