AUSTIN, Texas —Law enforcement officials from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two individuals in connection with a large-scale drug bust near the Domain in Austin.
Authorities discovered approximately $1 million worth of illegal substances, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin, inside an apartment.
The bust was the result of a planned operation by the sheriff’s office, which had been monitoring the location for several months.
Investigators are continuing to assess the full extent of the drug operation and its potential links to larger networks.
Authorities credited the success of the operation to intelligence gathered over time, as well as cooperation from local residents who provided valuable tips.
The names of the arrested individuals have not been disclosed as law enforcement continues its investigation.
The sheriff’s office stated that the operation aimed to dismantle a network suspected of distributing large quantities of narcotics in the Austin area.
Investigators are working to identify additional suspects and expand the scope of the ongoing investigation.
