SAPD: Shooting pursuit ends in fatal crash, suspect arrested

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A fatal drive-by shooting occurred early Saturday morning in the Woodlake Estates neighborhood of Houston.

At approximately 2:03 a.m., a vehicle approached a residence and opened fire, striking a 25-year-old woman.

Police quickly responded to the scene and pursued the suspect vehicle as it fled the area. The pursuit escalated into a high-speed chase through various streets.

During the chase, the suspect vehicle collided with another car, causing a fatal crash. Emergency services responded to the crash site, where the suspect was taken into custody. No other suspects were reported to be involved.

The woman, who was injured in the shooting, was transported to a local hospital. Her condition has not been disclosed.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the shooting. Authorities have not released further details about the suspect at this time.
