DALLAS, Texas –Thousands of residents in Burleson experienced a power outage on Friday after utility workers came into contact with a high-voltage line near a power substation.

Local authorities initiated the outage for safety reasons following the contact, which posed significant risks to both the workers and the surrounding community.

Police officials stated that the workers, performing routine maintenance, inadvertently made contact with the live line.
