PLDT dominates Akari to reestablish winning streak in PVL

MANILA, Philippines– The PLDT High Speed Hitters secured a dominant 3-set victory over Akari in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

The set scores were 25-22, 25-16, and 25-15, marking a significant comeback for PLDT after a two-game losing streak.

Savi Davison led PLDT’s offensive charge, scoring 15 points, including 13 attacks and 2 blocks. Majoy Baron contributed 11 points, all from attacks, further strengthening the team’s offensive push. Their combined efforts helped PLDT regain their form and secure the win.

The match began with PLDT taking an early 25-22 win in the first set, followed by a 25-16 finish in the second. The High Speed Hitters maintained their momentum in the third set, clinching a 25-15 victory to seal the match. Akari, despite their efforts, struggled to contain PLDT’s aggressive offense and solid defense.

The victory allowed PLDT to improve their standing in the tournament, while Akari will need to reassess their strategies moving forward. The PVL All-Filipino Conference continues to be highly competitive as teams strive for a spot in the finals.
