One person hospitalized after southeast-side shooting, officials say

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A shooting on Houston’s southeast side Tuesday morning resulted in the death of one individual.

The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. near the intersection of Goliad Road and Interstate 37.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered the victim deceased at the scene.

Emergency medical services were dispatched but could not revive the individual, whose identity has not been released by authorities.

The shooting victim’s condition had been described as critical, and they were pronounced dead on-site.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, cordoning off the area to collect evidence and interview witnesses.
